The Playful Constraint Framework
Every mechanic must be learnable within 30 seconds of interaction, without a text tutorial. We rely on "affordance"—visual cues that imply function (e.g., a button that looks pressable).
The entire interactive area must be reachable by a thumb holding a device of up to 6.7 inches. We map interaction heatmaps to verify this, rejecting layouts that force hand repositioning.
Frame rate is a gameplay mechanic. If we can't hold 60fps on a 3-year-old Android device, we strip visual fidelity rather than compromise fluidity. Smoothness > Beauty.
